Dividend Calculator
Calculate your net dividend income and yield using your share count, dividend per share and current price. 10% withholding tax applied automatically.
Calculate the Real Value of Your Dividend Income
Dividend calculation clarifies the point stock investors most often overlook: the dividend per share announced on KAP is the gross amount. Individual investors in Turkey pay 10% withholding tax on dividend income; your actual take-home is what remains after this tax. If a 0.35 ₺ dividend is announced for 1,000 shares, your gross income is 350 ₺ and net is 315 ₺.
What Is Dividend Yield and Why Does It Matter?
Dividend yield shows what percentage cash return a share pays relative to its current price: Yield = (Dividend per Share / Share Price) × 100. A high yield may look attractive, but if it results from a falling share price, company financials should be reviewed before drawing conclusions.
Net dividend yield shows your real return after 10% withholding. It expresses the net money earned relative to your total cost (shares × price) — the correct way to compare portfolio returns.
How to Use It. Step by Step
Required Inputs
- Number of shares (lots) owned
- Dividend per share (₺); from KAP announcement
- Current market price of the share (₺)
Formula / Logic
Gross Dividend = Shares × Dividend per Share. Withholding = Gross × 0.10. Net Dividend = Gross − Withholding. Yield = (Gross / Total Cost) × 100; Net Yield = (Net / Total Cost) × 100. Total Cost = Shares × Current Price.

How to Interpret the Results?
The tool provides five outputs: gross dividend, withholding tax, net dividend, gross yield and net yield. Net yield assumes you bought at today's market price. If you bought cheaper, your real yield is higher than shown.
When comparing dividend yield to deposit net return, factor in potential share price decline (capital loss risk). Dividends provide recurring cash flow, but share price volatility can far exceed dividend income.
Tips for Accurate Results
- Get the dividend per share from the KAP (Public Disclosure Platform; kap.org.tr) announcement; brokerage screens may not always be current.
- This calculator applies the 10% withholding rate for fully liable individual investors. Different rates may apply to corporate investors and foreign nationals.
- Track the company's general assembly decision and dividend payment date. Announcement and payment dates differ.
- For yield calculation, use the closing price on the day of the dividend announcement for the most relevant comparison.
