How Does the Live Rate Converter and Investment Calculator Work?
Live Exchange Rates (Dollar, Euro, Sterling)
The currency tab displays USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, and JPY rates against TRY. Data is based on daily mid-rates; buy-sell spreads are not included. Entering a currency amount on the left calculates the TRY equivalent; entering TRY on the right shows how much currency you can buy.

Gold Types (Gram, Quarter, Ounce) and Valuation Logic
Gold is traded internationally in troy ounces (XAU). 1 troy ounce = 31.1035 grams. A quarter gold coin weighs approximately 1.75 grams, half gold 3.5 grams, and full gold 7 grams (22-carat Republic gold standard). The tool offers gram and ounce options in the Gold & Silver tab.
Gram Gold (TRY) = Ounce Gold (USD) ÷ 31.1035 × USD/TRY
The tool performs this conversion automatically.
Crypto Market (Bitcoin, Ethereum) Conversions
The crypto tab shows BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, and XRP in TRY terms. Prices are sourced from the CoinGecko API with intra-minute updates. Decimal entry is supported for small amounts (e.g., 0.05 BTC).

What Is a Cross Rate (Parity) Between Investment Instruments?
Calculation via USD/TRY and EUR/USD Parity
A cross rate is the exchange rate between two currencies calculated through a common third currency (usually USD) when they are not directly traded. For example, EUR/TRY cross rate = EUR/USD × USD/TRY. This tool works TRY-centric and automatically calculates all cross conversions.
USD/TRY
The most common currency pair. Dollar fluctuations affect all markets.
EUR/USD
The world's highest-volume currency pair. European economy indicator.
EUR/TRY
Cross rate obtained by multiplying EUR/USD × USD/TRY.
Troy Ounce Gold and Dollar Relationship (XAU/USD)
Gold prices are determined in Dollar terms on international markets under the code XAU/USD. When the Dollar strengthens, gold prices generally fall; when the Dollar weakens, they rise — this is known as an inverse correlation. TRY-based gram gold prices are affected by both the ounce price and the USD/TRY rate; so even if the Dollar doesn't change, a move in the TRY rate will change the gram gold price.
What to Watch Out for When Using a Financial Converter
The Spread Between Buy and Sell Prices
For every financial instrument, banks or brokers use two different prices: the buy rate (bank buys from you) and the sell rate (you buy). The tool displays the mid-rate between these two. Your actual cost will differ by the spread, which varies by institution.
Buy Rate
The price at which the institution buys currency/gold from you. Below mid-rate.
Mid-Rate
The price shown by this tool. The reference point between buy and sell.
Sell Rate
The price at which you buy currency/gold from the institution. Above mid-rate.
