Vehicle & Travel Calculators
2 free tools for fuel consumption and distance calculation.
Knowing Trip Costs Before You Depart
The fuel consumption calculator works both ways: measure your car's liters per 100 km from odometer and refill data, or use a known consumption figure to compute a trip's total fuel cost. City consumption typically runs 20-40 percent higher than highway due to stop-and-go traffic; measuring the two separately gives more accurate results.
The distance calculator computes straight-line distance between two points from coordinates. Road distance usually runs 20-30 percent longer than straight-line; add that margin when budgeting fuel.
Before a long trip, checking the current fuel price per liter and using your car's real consumption removes the surprise gap between estimated and actual cost. Adding a 10 percent buffer for the return leg and detours is a practical habit.
